When Belgium performs the first act...

As to the first edition of the Belgian Tour in 2007, everyone was unanimous, when it comes to the beauty of the course as well as when it comes to the quality of the organization.

The Belgian dispute of the FIM Rally Championship ended with our compatriot Fred Lejeune finishing merely 86 hundreds of seconds behind the winning Frenchman Wilfried Tallone.

For 2008, the organizers made it their primary concern to pull off a second edition that would be engraved in everyone’s memory. Among the novelties is the prolongation of the event with four days. With a well studied track and about 400 km per day, the BMT 2008 promises to be a continuous spectacle.

The paddock is at Stavelot, but the route leads to many different parts of the country, passing amongst others through Durbuy, Dinant and Gedinne.
A maximum security is of the utmost importance and therefore, the route for the specials stage will be decided upon at the time of the event itself. And although a major part of it will be new, the famous and spectacular stage on the Kart circuit remains on the schedule for sure. Last but not least, the Belgian Moto Tour 2008 will be the starting shot for the World Motorcycle Rallies Championship, that will visit amongst others Italy, Portugal and France.
